Isabelle Gerard aims at quality skin care all around, via customized facials for each client, detailed waxing for all areas of the face and body, and the retail of thoroughly selected cosmetics lines. Her focus is efficiency, be it in the treatment of acne, the comfort of sensitive skins, the steps to delay aging. She is also reputed for her gentle waxing skills -face and body-, and has been happily practicing since 1987 in her sunny Montclair studio (in the Oakland hills). Isabelle received her professional training in France, where she obtained in 1983 in Paris, the highest diploma certified to this day by the French government in the field--a BTS en Esthetique-Cosmetique. The curriculum involved a two-year study of the physiology of skin, as well as the physics and chemistry applied to the formulation of cosmetics. She has been practicing in Montclair Village for over 25 years in the same location, still proudly caters to many of her earlier clients, and welcomes new clients as warmly.
